Working at a game company called Xaviant as the visual effects artist. It's good times all around!

There's a lots to report, but I'm going to hold off until I post my next art project (which should be before X-Mas).

Until then, be good to yourselves!

Well, according to Deviant art, I've been a member since 2003. Five years later, I now have 2000 page views. Weeee!

Okay, so it's not much of an achievement. But it's something.

I've got more art in the works, and as always, I'll post em' as I finish em'.

I'm back now with a new sense of vigor and drive! I want to make myself a better artist, and toward that end expect to see more work from me in the near future!

Classes are going well. I'm anxious to move on to animation and FX. But that's still a little ways off.

Devious Journal Entry

Some of you may be wondering: What's this new image I see? Why hasn't that bum posted PG 5 of Timebender? Well I'll tell you:

You got a scanner? Yes.
Well? I had a cooler image I wanted to test first.
So? So... I don't wanna post Timebender yet...
*grumble*? Well... all right. I'll post it later this weekend.

I got my scanner... It's small... It's sucks salty-monkey balls. But it works, which is all I need it to do. Stuff is now on the way!

The Humanity!

Mon Jan 29, 2007, 4:40 PM
Well here's the deal folks: I'm in Florida, and every thing's hunky-dory. The only problem is: I have no scanner! So I'm stuck with a sketchbook full of art and no where to scan it! Oh the humanity...

In time I expect to be able to access the school scanners, but this may take another several weeks at least. Hang-in there dear watchers!

Computer animation school is coming. I've got tons of packing to do this next week, so it's up in the air as to how many things I can get done between now and sometime next week. But that's how things always are in my life: confusing. I think if I start to get more sleep I'd likely be more on the ball.

I'm incredibly excited about this whole thing. The only experience I'm not looking forward to is the 34-hour bus ride from Maine to Florida. At least I'll get to see lots of cool stuff!

Well now that I'm subscribed for at least the next three months, I suppose I should make the best of it? A whole bunch of art is in the works, mostly waiting to get colored. The fifth Timebender page is half-way done, and I'm attempting a several different new styles/ideas with other sketches. I leave for Florida in about eight days, so I'd better get crack'n!

I start computer animation classes at Full Sail in January. So after a little break I'm now trying to re-gear my mind into drawing-mode. I'm going to be in more debt then I've ever been after I get done with this school. But I guess you have to spend money to make money (or so I've been told).

I got into a car accident a few weeks ago and lost my job as a result. I'm okay, but I totaled the car (no transportation = no job). I count it among all the stupid crap that happens in life. It wasn't my fault, and my only regret is not taking a good picture of my smashed-up car.

Marry Christmas to those who celebrate it. Happy new year to everyone else.

Colored two items today and put em' up. Right now I'm trying to get my name out there. Attempting to make contacts and form a "following of inspiration." Believe it or not, I only comment on things that inspire me, and the works that I indicate as "favorite" I intend to use as a guide to where I want my are art to go next. I'd like to improve my expression, add more energy to my works, and increase my sense of atmosphere.

My other mission is to simply be more prolific. Two things that help here are feedback, and an ever-increasing "hit" counter.

In other news, I've been accepted to Full Sail digital arts college in Florida. Classes will begin in January, and I'll be majoring in 3D Animation. So my OTHER goal is to produce a few more animations. Perhaps even something interactive. We shall see.

The artistic juices are still flowing! Huzzah!

I finished my mass upload. Not very massive eh? Most of my work thus far can be found in the scraps section. I'll try to find more stuff to add to the actual deviant gallery. But it may take me a bit, I've got a job! I'm also kind of pissed about various political goings-on and my time spent writing letters to my congressmen and senators is interfering with my art.

The artistic juices are flowing! Huzzah!

Only two images! Pah! I should be ashamed of myself! I'm putting together a mass-upload of everything I've done in the last year or so. Plus, possibly, some other things. I'm still getting used to this site, but what I've seen I like so far! The fun thing is, I guess I've been here before, because I just signed on and found a DBZ character I drew up four years ago. All that time and I still use the same user name! I'm either efficient or a lunatic.

So in between reading political blogs and watching Heroes tonight, I'll be furiously scanning.
